Horses for Sale

Every year we breed three or four foals that are allowed to roam the off shore island with their herd and grow into strong, sensible, unspoilt and kind youngsters.

From age 3 or 4 onwards we bring these youngsters on slowly allowing them to develop and understand what is asked of them.

When you buy a horse from Island View you can trust that we won't sell you a "cat in the bag".

We want our horses to be happy in their new homes and we are very honest about what you are getting and whether we think you and the animal suit each other.

We like to know that the horses we sell are happy in their new home. We will inform you about any known vices, ailments or peculiarities.

We will also advise you whether the animal suits you or not.

Nothing is more rewarding for us than finding the right person for our horses.

Sire: Captain Clover (by Clover Hill)

Dam: Oilean Cadena (Easy lift, out of a Diamond lad mare)

Dunlop, a homebred ISH was broken and trained by ourselves and then competed and placed in age classes as a 4,5 & 6 year old. He then jumped young rider classes with my daughter for some few years, helping with the transition from ponies to horses, where they primarily jumped at 130.

As an 8 year old he and Elisa (aged 16) jumped their first 140 class and first 135 Speed Derby at Milstreet International, where they finished up in 7th place.

Dunlop jumped triple clear in both the 115 young rider and the 130 young rider RDS Qualifier, where they won the 125-130cm class and qualified for the Dublin Horse Show.
