The O’Connor Family Farm
The farm is run by 3 generations of the O'Connor family.
Originally from O' Connor's Island the family settled in the present mainland homestead in the 1950s. Island view is not a purpose built monstrosity , but a small family farm that has grown into an equestrian centre with "old world charm". The farm enjoys specatular views of Benbulben Mountain and the Atlantic Ocean.
Part of the farm enterprise today is the breeding of Irish Draught and Irish Sport Horses. Besides the horses we also keep a herd of suckler cows and a handful of sheep. Bantham hens, runner ducks, rabbits and kittens roam the farm and provide hours of enchantment for our young visitors. Meet Angel the terrier and Rossi the miniature stallion!
